Magento Developer (Adobe Commerce)

About the role

A full-time, on-site contractual role in Islamabad for a mid-level Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) developer. The developer works with the development team to build, customize, integrate and maintain Adobe Commerce applications, supporting scalable and reliable e-commerce solutions. The position requires 2 to 3 years of experience and a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customize and maintain Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 applications, including modules, plugins, observers and scheduled jobs.
• Customize storefront, checkout, catalog, pricing, promotions and order workflows.
• Integrate REST, GraphQL and third-party APIs, and connect Adobe Commerce with ERP, payment, shipping and other enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot defects, optimize application, database and cache performance, and follow coding standards and security best practices.
• Perform unit testing, take part in code reviews, write technical documentation and support deployments and production issues.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, meet deadlines and stay up to date with Adobe Commerce, Flutter and mobile development practices.

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of relevant development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 and hands-on experience with modules, plugins and workflows.
• Experience integrating Adobe Commerce with ERP, payment and shipping systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Understanding of coding standards and security best practices.
• Experience with unit testing, code reviews, documentation, deployments and Git.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and written/spoken English skills.

• Git, CI/CD, Docker and cloud environments; Adobe Commerce Cloud knowledge preferred
• AEM-Commerce integration with CIF is a plus; Adobe Commerce certification is a plus
