Maintenance Lead

About the role

The Maintenance Lead will ensure reliable operation of production machinery at our Jhelum facility. You will coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance, drive quality improvements, and support plant conversions to meet market demand.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute machinery maintenance, including breakdown and preventive tasks, to guarantee continuous operation.
• Plan and implement quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
• Identify training gaps, provide feedback, and promote skill development for the maintenance team.
• Manage machine conversions according to the Master Production Schedule.
• Monitor spare‑parts consumption and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Gather feedback from the SMD team to enhance maintenance quality and act on recommendations.
• Standardise equipment through modifications that improve quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Develop and share guidelines, platforms, and knowledge across operations and factories.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet production and quality targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, DAE or B‑Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a maintenance role within an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with cigarette manufacturing technologies and related equipment.
• Understanding of maintenance strategies and preventive maintenance practices.

Required skills

• Power BI for data analytics.
• SAP (including SAP‑based preventive maintenance).
• Preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Maintenance strategy development.
• Mechanical engineering principles applied to industrial machinery.
