Maintenance Officer

About the role

Join a leading global tobacco business as a Maintenance Officer at our Akora Khattak plant. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of production machinery while supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize machinery and equipment performance to minimise downtime.
• Identify issues and implement solutions to prevent efficiency losses.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance and develop standardised maintenance processes.
• Educate team members on correct operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Address critical equipment failures promptly and establish KPIs for maintenance.
• Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of recurring losses and handle defects in a timely manner.

Required profile

• DAE or B‑Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years experience in production machinery maintenance, troubleshooting and team up‑skilling.
• Self‑motivated with ability to lead contractual and unionised staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective training and presentation abilities for shop‑floor employees.
