Maintenance Officer

About the role

Perform production equipment maintenance activities and execute improvement projects within the assigned value stream, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement of production systems. The role works closely with Production, Quality and other site departments to respond to engineering challenges and enhance reliability of manufacturing and packaging machines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate pharma manufacturing and packaging equipment according to the CMMS schedule and PM checklists.
• Track, plan, execute and close maintenance work orders in the CMMS while ensuring data integrity.
• Apply mechanical and electronic troubleshooting, including PLC and HMI diagnostics, to resolve equipment issues.
• Enforce Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out (LOTO) and Permit‑to‑Work procedures for machinery safety.
• Coordinate with other units and supervise outsourced contractors to ensure safe working conditions.
• Identify and contribute to efficiency improvement projects and manage equipment inventory.

Required profile

• DAE in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• PLC and HMI troubleshooting and programming.
• Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out (LOTO) procedures and Permit‑to‑Work compliance.
• Use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order planning and data integrity.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Workday and maintenance monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of GxP regulations, Lean management and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
