Maintenance Officer - Pharma Manufacturing

About the role

GSK is looking for a Maintenance Officer to carry out production equipment maintenance and run improvement projects in the assigned value stream. The role keeps production systems running smoothly and improves their reliability, working closely with Production and Quality. It suits someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work and solving equipment problems.

Key responsibilities

• Keep pharma manufacturing and packaging equipment (capsule fillers, tablet fillers, blenders, isolators, coating pans, suspension fillers, blistering and cartoning machines, vial washing and siliconization machines, dry-heat depyrogenation tunnels, sterile filling machines, labelers, pallet stackers) running smoothly, with maintenance and calibration done according to the site CMMS schedule.
• Follow the planned preventive maintenance checklists and use the CMMS to track and close maintenance work orders on time, with attention to data integrity.
• Ensure machinery safety is a priority and follow LOTO procedures and permit-to-work protocols; stay up to date with global engineering standards for operations, maintenance and safety.
• Work with other units to build teamwork, coordinate with outsourced contractors to ensure safe working conditions, and act as a role model for machinery safety.
• Identify and contribute to efficiency improvement projects, update equipment inventory in stores, and act on actions derived from deviations, audits, inspections and risks.

Required profile

• Diploma (DAE) or bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Basic experience with PLCs, HMIs or other control devices; PLC and HMI experience is mandatory.
• Experience with or willingness to learn a CMMS; strong commitment to safety.
