About the role
The MNCH Officer will support UNICEF‑funded maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH) interventions in Pakistan. Working under the Health Specialist, the officer provides technical analysis, program design input and monitoring support to strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse MNCAH trends, health‑system performance and service‑delivery gaps to inform programme planning.
- Apply technical frameworks and policies to assess programme objectives and emerging service demands.
- Contribute to the development of goals, strategies, workplans and results frameworks.
- Review programme plans, budgets and monitoring frameworks, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Prepare analytical briefs, updates and technical recommendations for the Health Specialist and stakeholders.
- Monitor implementation of UNICEF‑supported interventions against approved plans and provide corrective guidance.
- Support programme reviews by analysing progress and suggesting adjustments.
Required profile
- University degree in public health, medicine, health sciences or a related field.
- Experience in maternal, newborn, child or adolescent health programmes.
- Familiarity with health‑system strengthening and MNCAH/RMNCAH frameworks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government, UN agencies and development partners.
- Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
