Mechanical Foreman

About the role

The Mechanical Foreman will lead the mechanical maintenance team at Rafhan Maize’s Mehran Plant in Jamshoro. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all plant machinery and heavy equipment operate safely, reliably and efficiently to support continuous corn processing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the mechanical maintenance crew.
• Plan, schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to minimise downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintain accurate maintenance records and report on key metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company safety standards.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems and industrial machinery.
• Train and mentor maintenance personnel on proper procedures and tool usage.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in mechanical or maintenance teams, preferably in a process‑industry environment.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with plant utilities, support systems and industrial safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Prior experience in food, chemical or similar processing plants is an advantage.
