Mechanical Maintenance Officer

About the role

Haleon is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Officer to ensure that pharma production equipment operates reliably and complies with GMP, EHS and engineering standards. You will work in the blister and solid dosage manufacturing areas, supporting both routine and project‑related maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation and control equipment in blister and solid manufacturing lines.
• Maintain compliance with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure accurate logging of work.
• Replace or adjust small machine parts such as sensors, valves and controllers as required.
• Supervise maintenance activities, address complaints, and ensure timely execution of the PM plan.
• Assist engineering teams with new machine installations, commissioning, IQ/OQ testing and related training.
• Support OEE data collection and suggest improvements for machine performance.
• Prepare daily maintenance logbooks and deliver on‑the‑job technical training to junior staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering (DAE/B.Tech, B.S., B.E.).
• 3–6 years of engineering experience in a regulated pharma or FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS, documentation practices and data integrity.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventive‑maintenance capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle a challenging production environment.
