Medical Billing Coordinator (Remote, Pakistan)

About the role

Edge is recruiting a Medical Billing Coordinator for Inlight Psychiatry & Therapy, a US-based psychiatry and therapy practice. You will join the billing team alongside another biller and the billing manager. The position is remote in Pakistan, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (6:00 PM - 3:00 AM PKT). Candidates must live in Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad and be able to work full time in a US timezone.

Applicants should have done US medical billing and have worked in a customer-facing role such as a CSR or front desk, since they will speak with patients and insurance companies every day.

Key responsibilities

• Submit clean claims, including secondary claims
• Resolve denials and handle appeals with Cigna, Aetna, United and Blue Cross
• Work aging reports and reconcile patient and insurance payments
• Read and interpret EOBs and ERAs, and post payments
• Verify patient benefits (VOBs)
• Answer patient billing questions by phone and call insurance companies to follow up on claims and appeals

Required profile

• 3+ years of US medical billing experience
• CSR or front desk experience with a track record of speaking with customers or patients
• Strong spoken and written English
• Very strong attention to detail and an analytical, follow-up mindset
• Hands-on experience with secondary claims, denials and appeals
• Team player who is resourceful and proactive
