Medical Officer – Hospital

About the role

Masood Hospital in Lahore is seeking a full‑time Medical Officer to join its multidisciplinary team. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with physicians, surgeons and allied health professionals, and support the hospital’s commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform examinations, formulate diagnoses and manage treatment plans according to clinical protocols.
• Prescribe medications, monitor therapeutic responses and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist in surgical and procedural care, ensuring peri‑operative patient safety.
• Participate in ward rounds, handovers and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and follow‑up requirements.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and clinical training activities.

Required profile

• Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration on the relevant medical council.
• Strong clinical foundation in medicine and familiarity with current guidelines.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call duties.
• Commitment to ethical, non‑discriminatory practice and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
