Medical Officer

About the role

Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) is looking for a qualified Medical Officer to provide comprehensive medical services to its employees, retirees and eligible dependents. The role combines primary care, emergency response, occupational health and wellness program support within an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver medical consultations, diagnosis and treatment to employees and eligible dependents, both onsite and via telehealth.
• Manage primary emergencies, stabilise patients and coordinate referrals to panel hospitals when needed.
• Conduct OPD consultations, maintain accurate records in the Healthcare Management System and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate referrals to laboratories, specialists and panel hospitals in line with company policy.
• Support periodic medical examinations, fitness‑for‑duty assessments and other occupational health activities.
• Participate in health awareness sessions, employee wellness initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare SOPs and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑MBBS clinical experience, including management of common and chronic diseases.
• Proven experience in emergency and industrial trauma care (burns, fractures, head injuries, chemical exposure).
• Occupational health expertise with periodic examinations and workplace health surveillance.
• Leadership experience supervising multidisciplinary medical teams and managing healthcare operations.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professional ethics.
