Medical Research Scientist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Research Scientist to join a global biotechnology leader on a full‑time remote basis. The position focuses on designing and implementing computational methods that turn complex medical data into actionable diagnostic and therapeutic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate machine‑learning models for medical imaging analysis and clinical decision support.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers to translate research prototypes into scalable solutions.
• Publish research findings in high‑impact journals and present at scientific conferences.
• Optimize algorithms for accuracy, performance, and efficiency on large‑scale medical datasets.
• Contribute to internal tools and frameworks that accelerate research workflows.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a medical focus.
• Proven expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling applied to medical data.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed medical or AI journals.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., DICOM, HL7) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
