MEP Designer / BIM Modeler – Residential Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Designer / BIM Modeler to support a U.S.-based architectural and design firm on residential projects ranging from custom single‑family homes to multi‑unit developments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for residential projects.
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D MEP models using BIM software.
• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural designs, identifying and resolving clashes before construction.
• Provide clear installation and sequencing directions for contractors.
• Review architectural and structural plans to create efficient field‑installation order.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members, incorporating feedback and improving documentation.
• Support standardization of MEP documentation and coordination processes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in U.S. residential construction.
• Proven experience producing MEP drawings for residential projects.
• Ability to anticipate field conflicts and propose practical solutions.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work remotely with a U.S. team.
