Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) – Pakistan

About the role

Binance is seeking an experienced Pakistan‑based Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to lead the development and maintenance of its AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions and regulatory compliance framework. The role will focus on aligning Binance Pakistan with the requirements of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) and other local financial‑crime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive compliance programme covering AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting.
• Act as the primary financial‑crime compliance point of contact for the Pakistan entity, overseeing identification, escalation and reporting of suspicious transactions.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Pakistani laws, FMU reporting obligations, sanctions rules and any PVARA VASP licensing conditions.
• Support the PVARA licensing process and ongoing licence obligations, preparing policies, procedures and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct enterprise‑wide and product‑level risk assessments, identify control gaps and propose remediation plans.
• Collaborate with global and regional compliance, legal, investigations, sanctions, onboarding and product teams to embed Pakistan‑specific requirements into Binance’s global framework.
• Provide compliance advice on new products, customer onboarding, transaction monitoring and local partnerships.
• Deliver AML/CFT, sanctions and KYC training to local staff and promote a strong compliance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AML/CFT, financial‑crime compliance, regulatory affairs or a similar field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Pakistani financial‑crime regulations and virtual‑asset licensing requirements.
• Proven ability to interact with regulatory and law‑enforcement authorities.
