Network Engineer – WAN/LAN & Security Specialist

About the role

Ibex. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its infrastructure team. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a complex, layered network that spans data centers, disaster‑recovery sites, regional hubs, and branch offices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier‑1/2/3 support to diagnose and resolve escalated network issues that affect service availability.
• Monitor over 1,000 devices using SolarWinds, PRTG, and NMS/Syslog tools, handling alerts and escalations.
• Configure, install, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless controllers.
• Participate in 24×7 NOC rotations and support on‑call duties.
• Document network designs, standards, and project deliverables.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in WAN/LAN networking.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP or equivalent preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present to business stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities for complex network issues.

Required skills

• WAN protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• LAN/WLAN: DNS, IP addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast.
• Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Cisco IOS.
• NG‑firewalls: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate; ACLs, VPNs.
• Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, NMS/Syslog.
• Wireless access controllers and access points.
• Routing, switching, and VPN troubleshooting expertise.
