Network Security Senior Associate

About the role

PwC is looking for a Network Security Senior Associate to join its Cybersecurity Advisory team in Karachi. You will work with a diverse set of clients, delivering end‑to‑end security solutions and helping organisations protect their critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform network security assessments, architecture design, and hardening activities.
• Configure and harden firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), WAFs and VPN solutions.
• Implement and tune IDS/IPS, proxy, and network monitoring tools such as SIEM and NDR platforms.
• Apply security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) to client environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional PwC teams (cloud, infrastructure, risk, compliance) on complex engagements.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Passionate about cybersecurity with a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related field from a recognized university.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience in network security, preferably in a client‑facing or consulting environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful client relationships.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, routing/switching, and secure network design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), WAF, VPN technologies.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, proxies, SIEM, NDR and other network monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls.
• Understanding of cloud networking and security concepts for AWS and Azure.
