Network Support Engineer

About the role

Vision Telecom is seeking a Network Support Engineer to join its Network Operations Center. You will monitor and maintain a nationwide 1,500+ km fiber and IP network, diagnose issues, and work closely with engineering, field teams and upstream providers to ensure service continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network health, respond to alarms and faults, and keep accurate incident records.
• Troubleshoot and escalate network problems, coordinating with engineering, field support, upstream providers and LDIs until resolution.
• Configure routers, switches and access equipment to provision customer services.
• Communicate status updates to customers and stakeholders via email and phone.
• Support planned maintenance activities and report on operational status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in network support or a NOC, preferably with an ISP or telecom operator.
• Calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• CCNA certification (required); CCNP certification (a plus).
• Solid knowledge of routing and switching, VLANs, OSPF/BGP basics.
• Understanding of fiber last‑mile connectivity.
• Hands‑on experience configuring routers, switches and access equipment.
