Network & Surveillance Engineer

About the role

The Network & Surveillance Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the campus-wide IP network and integrated security surveillance infrastructure. This role ensures high availability of critical services, supports both wired and wireless environments, and safeguards physical assets through robust access‑control and video monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, multilayer switches and routing protocols, including inter‑VLAN routing.
• Implement and monitor network security components such as firewalls, IPS, DMZ, and IPSec tunnels.
• Provide 24/7 proactive monitoring of campus‑wide services, including surveillance hardware, and escalate critical incidents.
• Deploy and manage Cisco wireless LAN controllers and ensure secure WLAN operation.
• Install, configure, and maintain access‑control readers, controllers and related software.
• Install, troubleshoot and replace security cameras, DVR/NVR systems across the campus.
• Administer MS SQL databases and Windows Server (2016 or later) supporting surveillance and access‑control applications.
• Verify backups of databases and video records, and maintain accurate inventory of network and surveillance equipment.
• Support new surveillance projects from design through commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or related field.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a customer‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts and handle high‑pressure situations.
• Excellent English communication skills.
