Node.js Developer (Onsite)

About the role

A skilled Node.js Developer is sought to join an onsite development team in Karachi. The role involves building and maintaining scalable server-side applications, developing APIs and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
• Build efficient, testable and reusable RESTful APIs
• Implement data storage with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Implement security, data protection and authentication/authorization
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications for speed and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members
• Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies and best practices

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in Node.js development
• Ability to work onsite from the Karachi office
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Required skills

• Strong JavaScript and asynchronous programming
• Express.js or other Node.js frameworks
• REST APIs and third-party API integration
• Server-side templating, authentication and authorization
• MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL; Git; AWS, Docker or CI/CD is a plus
