Operations Coordinator – Dark Store Management

About the role

The Operations Coordinator will manage a 24‑hour dark‑store warehouse for foodpanda, ensuring smooth inbound, storage, and order dispatch processes. The role combines on‑site oversight with virtual coordination to meet service level agreements and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end warehouse processes, from inbound receipt to stock handling, storage, and timely order dispatch.
• Maintain operational SLAs and KPIs, recommending improvements and implementing process changes.
• Conduct workplace safety and health risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Plan and schedule manpower to optimise efficiency and meet demand fluctuations.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to manage fast‑moving and slow‑moving SKUs, control spoilage, waste, and shrinkage, and handle returns, refunds, and damaged or expired goods.
• Perform regular stock takes, monitor stock variance, and keep physical and system inventory within tolerance limits.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and address any equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping, safety standards, and ensure 100 % order accuracy.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with external stakeholders such as neighbours, suppliers, and foodpanda riders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Strong foundation in operations, supply‑chain principles, and continuous‑improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, JIT).
• Knowledge of local industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management across vendors, delivery teams, and community partners.
• Familiarity with operational KPIs, performance metrics, and warehouse management systems.
• Experience in sales or account management, driving revenue and improving client retention.
• Self‑driven, able to work independently with excellent communication skills.
