Overseas Desk Officer

About the role

The Overseas Desk Officer will serve as the primary point of contact for foreign businesses, investors, diplomatic missions and the Pakistani diaspora seeking information and assistance in Pakistan. Based in Islamabad, the role supports trade promotion and investment facilitation through timely, professional communication.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and respond to overseas inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Provide guidance on Pakistan’s investment policies, regulatory framework and business procedures.
• Facilitate matchmaking between foreign requestors and relevant local businesses, investors and institutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless support and up‑to‑date information.
• Maintain correspondence, databases, records and reports on international engagements.
• Assist in organizing international business forums, trade delegations and related events.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of international trade, investment promotion and business facilitation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
