P2P Specialist (Procure-to-Pay)

About the role

Zones, a global IT solution provider and MBE operating in more than 120 countries, is hiring a P2P Specialist (Procure-to-Pay). The role manages the end-to-end invoice lifecycle, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments and effective resolution of discrepancies. It focuses on exception-driven transactions, vendor account accuracy and settlement within defined timelines and controls. The shift timings are 9 PM to 6 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process invoices requiring validation, matching them correctly with PO, GRN and contract terms.
• Investigate and resolve blocked invoices caused by pricing differences, quantity mismatches or missing receipts.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and clear open items in a timely manner.
• Prepare and validate invoices for payment, then execute scheduled payment runs and verify payment outputs.
• Monitor AP aging and proactively address overdue or unresolved balances.
• Validate GL coding, VAT and posting accuracy before final processing.
• Support month-end activities by identifying unrecorded liabilities and pending invoices.
• Maintain proper documentation so transactions are audit-ready, and consistently meet productivity, accuracy and SLA KPIs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable / P2P operations in a high-volume environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration (finance preferred) or an equivalent field; a master's degree is a plus.
• Ability to handle vendor queries and resolve issues within defined timelines, with good problem-solving skills and a focus on strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong experience with invoice exceptions, vendor reconciliations and open item resolution.
• Understanding of the invoice lifecycle (receipt to payment) and AP aging drivers.
• Large ERP experience preferred; D35 and Dynamics AX are a plus.
• Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
