Paralegal Assistant – Billing & Medical Records Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Paralegal Assistant to join our personal injury team in Lahore. The position involves obtaining, reviewing, and organizing medical and billing records to support attorneys and ensure accurate case preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Request and retrieve medical records, billing statements, itemized bills, affidavits and notarized affidavits from providers, hospitals and record vendors.
• Follow up with providers, imaging centers, pharmacies and vendors to secure timely delivery of documents.
• Verify provider balances, confirm outstanding amounts and reconcile billing records.
• Review medical and billing documents for completeness, accuracy and discrepancies.
• Extract and summarize injury information, identify unrelated or pre‑existing conditions and compare records for consistency.
• Coordinate with medical providers regarding billing, insurance payments, liens and missing documentation.
• Communicate with insurance companies, sub‑rogation departments and record retrieval vendors as needed.
• Maintain accurate case notes, update the case management system and organize all documents in appropriate case folders.
• Monitor outstanding requests, request corrected records and ensure all documentation is complete before attorney review.
• Uphold confidentiality of medical records and comply with HIPAA and firm policies.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with providers, insurers and internal teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Organizational skills to manage case files and track multiple requests simultaneously.
