Patient Attendant - Home Care

About the role

Elijah Health Care Services provides home healthcare across Karachi, including nursing, physiotherapy, elderly care, patient attendant support and medical equipment rental. It is looking for a dependable Patient Attendant to give respectful, compassionate support to clients in their homes and help maintain their comfort, safety and dignity. The role is based in Karachi and involves in-home care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily personal care, mobility, positioning and other routine activities according to their needs and care plan.
• Provide attentive companionship and communicate patiently with patients and their families.
• Observe and promptly report changes in a patient's condition or wellbeing to the family member or healthcare professional.
• Support safe transfers and follow hygiene, infection prevention and home safety practices.
• Help keep the patient's immediate care area clean, organised and comfortable.
• Follow instructions from family members and clinical staff while keeping confidentiality and professional boundaries, and give updates on care tasks completed.

Required profile

• Practical ability to assist with personal care, mobility, positioning and routine daily activities.
• Compassionate, patient manner when supporting elderly, ill or mobility-limited individuals.
• Awareness of basic hygiene, infection prevention and safe home-care practices.
• Ability to observe changes in comfort or condition and report concerns clearly and promptly.
• Good listening and communication skills with patients, families and care professionals.
• Reliability, punctuality, discretion and respect for patient privacy and dignity.
• Physical ability to provide appropriate assistance with patient movement using safe techniques.
