Planning Engineer – Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our construction project controls team. You will be responsible for developing, monitoring and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop baseline programs and track progress against planned milestones.
• Analyze critical‑path activities, identify schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Produce progress reports, S‑curves, manpower and resource histograms.
• Coordinate with site, procurement and engineering teams to collect progress data and align schedules.
• Identify delays, analyse root causes and recommend recovery plans.
• Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation.
• Track material and resource requirements against project timelines.
• Prepare periodic reports for management and client presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in project planning or scheduling within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and MS Excel skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
