Plant Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations of our pyrolysis plant within an oil refinery environment. The role ensures safe, efficient, and continuous production while coordinating across all functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily plant operations, production activities and plant administration.
• Monitor reactor temperatures, process parameters, oil yield and overall plant efficiency.
• Oversee safe start‑up, shutdown and continuous operation of the pyrolysis plant.
• Optimize utilization of raw materials, utilities and manpower to meet production targets.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability.
• Control inventory of feedstock, chemicals, spare parts and finished products.
• Prepare and submit production reports to management.
• Coordinate with maintenance and safety departments, conduct safety audits, risk assessments and emergency drills.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with EPZ, environmental and safety regulations.
• Supervise plant operators and support staff, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in an oil refinery or similar petrochemical environment.
