Principal DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About the role

We are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Azure and cloud automation to lead critical initiatives, ensure SLA compliance, and drive reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own SLA adherence and communicate status of urgent issues and projects.
• Design, build, and support cloud automation using Puppet, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity, Kubernetes) and environments for QA, development, and production.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, and load‑balancing issues across cloud platforms.
• Implement infrastructure security, reliability, and scalability best practices.
• Provide direct server support during deployments and production operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure new environments meet requirements and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure (and optionally AWS) IaaS services.
• Proven experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform.
• Strong background in CI/CD toolchains (Jenkins, TeamCity, Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker).
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Extensive experience with Linux distributions (RHEL 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
