Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage the procurement of indirect goods, services and capital expenditures, ensuring seamless integration with site operations and supporting Haleon’s strategic goals. The role drives cost efficiency, regulatory compliance and supply‑chain performance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build strategic relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and create value‑creation opportunities.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect goods, services and capital expenditures, ensuring supply assurance, quality, compliance and cost competitiveness.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including RFP/RFQ processes, selection criteria definition, total cost of ownership analysis, negotiations and stakeholder alignment.
• Own contract lifecycle management for indirect and capital categories, from development through renewal, performance management and risk mitigation.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for P2P (BGS), ensuring compliance with Global Haleon Buying Goods and Services guidelines.
• Provide expert support on Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), compliance and governance.
• Manage relationships with critical suppliers, securing cost‑effective and reliable supply of pharmaceutical machinery, MRO, EHS, QA lab consumables, utilities and facilities management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and lead times while improving quality and service levels, using data, analytics and performance dashboards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in indirect procurement and capital expenditure sourcing.
• Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and third‑party risk management.
