Product Designer – Digital Tools for Nutrition & Mental Health

About the role

We are looking for a Product Designer to lead the creation of client‑facing digital tools, program materials and community outreach assets that make nutrition‑centered mental health guidance accessible, culturally relevant and easy to use for beneficiaries in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user research and needs assessments with program participants, counselors and field staff to define product requirements.
• Develop user journeys, wireframes and high‑fidelity prototypes for mobile and web interfaces.
• Design clear visual assets for therapeutic meal programs, counseling referrals and community kitchen materials.
• Collaborate with program managers and developers to iterate prototypes, run usability tests and incorporate feedback.
• Establish and maintain a design system covering UI components, typography and accessibility guidelines for low‑literacy audiences.
• Plan and moderate usability testing sessions, analyse results and translate findings into actionable design changes.
• Document design rationale and hand off assets to developers and external vendors.
• Ensure designs consider low‑bandwidth, low‑end device constraints and responsive behavior.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in product or interaction design.
• Proven ability to conduct user research, synthesize findings and create personas, journeys and feature priorities.
• Experience designing for low‑literacy users, low‑bandwidth environments and low‑end devices.
