Product Safety and Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Product Safety and Compliance Specialist to ensure that our paints and coatings meet all chemical, safety and environmental regulations throughout the product lifecycle. You will support business units by managing safety documentation, monitoring regulatory changes and providing expert guidance on product stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with local and international chemical, product safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare, review and update Safety Data Sheets, Technical Data Sheets, product labels and other regulatory documents.
• Perform GHS hazard classification, product labeling and transportation classification.
• Enter and keep raw‑material, substance and product regulatory data in SAP and other regulatory systems.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess impact and recommend corrective actions.
• Validate supplier documentation such as SDSs and composition data.
• Respond to internal and external product safety and regulatory inquiries.
• Support cross‑functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Product Management, Commercial) on compliance matters.
• Coordinate external certification activities and regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product stewardship, chemical regulatory affairs, product safety or regulatory compliance.
• Experience in the paints, coatings, chemicals, adhesives, specialty chemicals or manufacturing industry.

• SAP
