Production Manager – Knitting & Stitching

About the role

The company is seeking a Production Manager to lead its knitting and stitching operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire cut‑to‑pack workflow, ensuring on‑time delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency in a fast‑paced, export‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production schedules in line with order volumes and delivery commitments.
• Oversee fabric knitting, cut‑to‑stitch and packing activities, guaranteeing timely completion at each stage.
• Monitor process parameters to maintain consistent quality and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure adherence to customer specifications, internal SOPs and minimise defects.
• Lead cost‑control initiatives by reducing waste and optimising resource utilisation.
• Manage manpower, material and machine allocation to meet production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and labour regulations.
• Develop the team through structured training, performance monitoring and coaching.
• Track and report key KPIs such as OEE, rejection rate and productivity, providing regular performance updates to management.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in textile production management (cut‑to‑pack), preferably in export‑oriented manufacturing.
• BE/ME in Industrial & Manufacturing or Textile Sciences; MBA in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of cut‑to‑pack operations and textile knitting processes.
• Proficiency with SAP systems.
• Strong financial insight and commercial acumen.
