Professor of Practice (Computer Science, IT & Business Administration)

About the role

Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) invites applications from distinguished Pakistani professionals and practitioners for appointment as Professor of Practice in Computer Science, Information Technology and Business Administration. The appointment is based on professional eminence and practical expertise, and contributes to practice-oriented teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, professional training, industry linkages and applied learning.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in the field.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree (Level-6) or equivalent qualification in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
• PhD is preferable but not mandatory.
• Distinguished professional standing, demonstrated expertise and significant achievements; certifications, awards, leadership experience, major projects or innovations are preferred.
• Candidates in government, semi-government or autonomous institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
• Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by HEC equivalence where applicable.

Terms and conditions

• The appointment follows HEC guidelines, GCWUF rules and the terms of the contract; it does not confer regular or permanent employment or tenure.
• Selection is based on professional eminence, experience, achievements, practical expertise, teaching/mentoring potential and interview/presentation; only shortlisted candidates are interviewed, with no travel or daily allowance.
• The university may adjust the number of positions, reject applications or cancel the process, and false information leads to cancellation of candidature.
