Program Manager – II (IT & Software Development)

About the role

The Program Manager – II will develop and execute program strategies that align with organizational goals, leading a team of project managers and cross‑functional partners. This senior role collaborates with executive leadership to define scope, objectives and success criteria while ensuring effective stakeholder communication throughout the program lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define program scope, objectives and success criteria in partnership with senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor and empower a team of project managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders, clients, vendors and partners.
• Monitor program budgets, allocate resources efficiently and ensure financial control.
• Identify program‑level risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct program review meetings, executive updates and strategic planning sessions.
• Oversee alignment and prioritisation of projects within the program.
• Analyse performance data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion best‑practice methodologies, tools and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Master’s in project management, MBA‑MIS or Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Computer Engineering from a recognised university.
• 7‑8 years of experience managing IT and software development projects.
• Extensive experience as a Program Manager overseeing complex project portfolios.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking and vision‑setting abilities.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Financial acumen in budgeting, cost optimisation and financial management.
• Experience in risk management, process improvement and innovation.
