Project Engineer

About the role

Avanceon is looking for highly skilled and experienced Project Engineers to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery while adhering to technical specifications and client requirements. The role covers complete project management from post-bid to delivery, acting as the single point of contact between Avanceon and the client. It is a part-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from post-order to delivery, defining the scope of work and engineering deliverables and communicating them to supporting departments.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments, clients, sub-vendors and other stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Develop engineering deliverables according to project specifications and client requirements.
• Act as the single point of contact with the client, arrange and attend client meetings, and submit progress reports on an agreed schedule.
• Review sub-vendor offers and give delivery recommendations to procurement, and raise purchase order requests through the portal.
• Monitor work execution, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the client, internal QC and vendors for the PIM and timely startup of fabrication, and with subcontractors for fabrication and integration.
• Ensure successful FAT, close punch points and obtain the IRN for on-time delivery.
• Work in line with contracts, company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE / B.Tech) in Mechanical or Chemical engineering from a reputable university with a good academic record.
• Experience handling individual projects from post-order to delivery.
• Preferred: experience with chemical dosing, water treatment and oil & gas skid packages.
• Preferred: exposure to specifications of Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, PDO, Shell or QE Energy.
• Essential: exposure to international standards for pumps, tanks, piping and valves.
• Basic exposure to reading skid GA drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with IEC and ISA equipment, piping, electrical and instrumentation symbols.
• Part-time arrangement; the job is mainly office-based but may involve travel to client offices or production facilities.
