About the role
The company is seeking an honest and active Purchase Officer to manage the procurement of mechanical and electrical items for its factory. The role involves sourcing, negotiating and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Key responsibilities
- Purchase mechanical and electrical items such as motors, bearings, pumps, panels, wiring, spare parts and hardware.
- Visit various Karachi markets (Sher Shah, Bolton Market, Light House, Jodia Bazar) to compare price and quality.
- Develop vendors and negotiate strong pricing.
- Ensure timely purchase and delivery to the factory.
Required profile
- 2‑4 years of factory purchasing experience with a focus on mechanical/electrical items.
- Strong knowledge of Karachi markets and sources for best price and quality.
- Intermediate or graduate qualification.
- Honest, responsible and punctual.
Required skills
- Vendor negotiation and rate bargaining.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Email).
