Quantity Surveyor – Cost Management & Procurement

About the role

The Namal Education Foundation is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management, procurement oversight and contract administration for its construction projects. The role combines analytical work with on‑site engagement and requires coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction plans and prepare detailed quantity take‑offs to support accurate project costing.
• Scrutinise material and maintenance costs, negotiate with contractors and secure optimal commercial outcomes.
• Liaise with site managers, client contractors and subcontractors to coordinate activities.
• Prepare reports, contracts, budgets, risk assessments and other project documentation.
• Advise managers and clients on cost‑saving measures and emerging construction strategies.
• Monitor material usage, manage procurement and ensure uninterrupted supply chain continuity on site.
• Document design changes, assess cost implications and update project budgets promptly.
• Travel regularly between the head office in Lahore and project sites in Mianwali while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum DEA in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver results under pressure.
• Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, methodical problem‑solving approach and collaborative team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
