Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department is seeking a full‑time Quantity Surveyor to support construction, maintenance and development projects across wildlife reserves and parks in Punjab. You will work on‑site, collaborating with engineers, project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost estimation and effective financial control.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and perform quantity take‑offs.
• Assist in estimating project costs and support budgeting for construction and maintenance works.
• Monitor project expenditures, track variations and update cost plans.
• Prepare regular cost reports for management.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and procurement to ensure contract compliance and accurate cost control.
• Contribute to tender documentation and evaluate contractor claims.
• Implement financial controls in line with departmental policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Strong cost planning and cost management experience in infrastructure or construction projects.
• Hands‑on experience with BOQ preparation, quantity take‑offs and measurement of works using standard methods of measurement.
• Relevant academic qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Familiarity with tendering processes, contract administration and basic procurement procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work on‑site in various park locations.
