Quantity Surveyor – Steel Structure Projects

About the role

GST International is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its steel structure and fabrication team in Gujranwala. The role focuses on accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for structural steel projects from design through erection.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity take‑offs from structural and shop drawings.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection.
• Verify material quantities and reconcile discrepancies.
• Control project costs, monitor budgets, and prepare cost reports.
• Prepare interim payment certificates (IPCs), variation orders, and claim documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Track subcontractor progress and ensure alignment with cost targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in steel structure and steel fabrication projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel structure drawings, BOQs, and material take‑offs.
• Experience in preparing cost estimates, project budgets, and tender documents.
• Familiarity with project billing, subcontractor payments, and variation claims.
• Good English communication skills.
