RAM Engineer - Asset Integrity & Reliability

About the role

Bureau Veritas is hiring a RAM Engineer for its Technical Center (TC) covering the KHI, ISB and LHR offices. The role sits in the Reliability Centered Maintenance area of Asset Integrity Management services and reports to a Lead / Senior Reliability Engineer. It involves analysing, modelling and improving the reliability, availability and maintainability of systems and equipment throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, model and improve reliability, availability and maintainability of systems and equipment
• Perform RAM studies, including RBD, FMEA/FMECA, FTA and maintainability analysis, and develop reliability and availability models
• Analyse failure data, maintenance records and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Define RAM requirements and performance targets with design, operations and safety teams, and support design reviews
• Conduct Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis and evaluate preventive and corrective maintenance plans
• Prepare RAM reports, technical documentation and presentations, and support risk assessments and safety studies
• Manage technical documentation (specifications, procedures, calculations, reports) and liaise with clients and project managers
• Help prepare technical aspects of tenders and contribute to commercial actions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, control, chemical engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 10 years of experience
• Experience with RAM software and RAM modelling
• Ability to work in a multicultural team, under pressure, and in client-facing situations
• Compliance with HSE policies and reporting of hazards and incidents

Required skills

• RAM modelling and RAM software (e.g. DNV Maros, ReliaSoft, Isograph)
• RBD, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, LCC analysis
• Statistical analysis and failure data modelling
• Interpretation of technical drawings, specifications and system architecture
