Regional Audit Head - Operational Audit Division

About the role

The Bank of Punjab, one of the fastest-growing banks in Pakistan with over 35 years of history and more than 900 branches and ATMs, is hiring a Regional Audit Head for its Operational Audit Division (Internal Audit Group) in Faisalabad. The post is at Band-5 / Band-3 level and involves overseeing audit engagements, ensuring quality of reports and managing audit resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Operational Audit in annual planning of the operational audit plan.
• Prepare the audit engagement plan and sampling matrix using OBIEE, and share it with the team manager before the audit begins.
• Allocate resources according to the risk profile of the audited entity and monitor staffing and schedules to complete engagements within budget and approved people-days.
• Facilitate discussions with management on audit concerns through conclusion meetings.
• Ensure pre-release quality of audit reports, rating models, management letters and working papers, and approve them with the Team Manager.
• Calculate audit ratings, recommend them to the Head of Audit, and ensure working papers are ready for archiving and uploaded to the Audit Management System.
• Review team work on time, coach teams on audit methodology, and identify training needs.
• Review policies and procedures against regulatory directions and suggest updates to checklists and the audit manual.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages and maintain the financial and manpower budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, MBA, M.Com., MSc in Accounting/Finance, CA, ACCA or CBA degree from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Minimum 9 to 12 years of experience, including at least 3 years in the Internal Audit Group of a commercial bank.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CICA or CISA are preferred.
• Age up to 55 years as of November 11, 2026.
