Remote Backend Software Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join a global leader in IT services on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while building high‑performance backend systems for worldwide users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
