Remote C# Software Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are building large‑language‑model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets focused on realistic software engineering problems. As a Remote C# Software Engineer you will work hands‑on to automate development environments, triage issues, and assess test coverage and quality, directly influencing AI‑assisted coding research.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open‑source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment preparation.
• Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
• Modify and run codebases locally to measure LLM performance in bug‑fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers to select challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
• Lead junior engineers on project tasks when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.
• Ability to navigate and understand complex codebases.
• Comfortable running, modifying, and testing real‑world projects locally.
• Open‑source contribution or evaluation experience is a plus.
