About the role

Turing is seeking a remote Mathematics Expert to contribute to cutting‑edge projects that fine‑tune large language models. You will apply deep analytical and mathematical expertise to probe model limitations and help shape future AI capabilities. This is a contractor position with flexible hours in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

Design and solve challenging physics and mathematics problems that test the boundaries of large language models.
Create high‑quality, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning to serve as gold‑standard data.
Collaborate with LLM researchers to align task designs with evaluation goals, focusing on areas such as symbolic manipulation and multi‑step reasoning.
Help define and build new evaluation benchmarks across curricula ranging from early undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.

Required profile

Doctorate in Mathematics or an equivalent technical field, or comparable advanced education.
Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not mandatory.
