Remote Mechanical Engineer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading global manufacturing company on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the design and optimisation of next‑generation mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and test mechanical components and systems to meet project specifications.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and documentation using CAD software.
• Perform structural, thermal and fluid‑dynamics simulations to validate designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure cost‑effective production and quality control.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend design improvements based on test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience designing mechanical systems for industrial applications.
• Strong ability to work independently and within cross‑functional remote teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
• Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science and industry standards.
