About the role

This remote Mechanical Engineer position focuses on designing and optimizing large‑scale, distributed systems. You will provide technical guidance for architecture decisions, troubleshoot high‑impact issues, and help shape the performance of critical infrastructure for a global technology leader.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evaluate scalable system architectures that meet evolving business and technical requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve high‑priority production issues with minimal downtime.
• Develop and document engineering best practices, standards, and guidelines for cross‑team adoption.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and security standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices, or large‑scale backend infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear technical documentation and architectural decisions.
