About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified STEM researcher to join a leading technology company on a full‑time remote basis. In this position you will design and solve challenging scientific problems that test the limits of large language models, producing clear, step‑by‑step solutions with rigorous reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and solve advanced STEM problems to probe the capabilities and limitations of large language models.
• Create high‑quality, step‑by‑step solutions with well‑articulated reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem sets with evaluation goals, focusing on abstraction, multi‑step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Help define new evaluation benchmarks based on physics curricula ranging from early undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities and support career growth in an AI‑first environment.

Required profile

• Strong analytical background in STEM at the level of engineering entrance exams, graduate studies, or PhD research.
• Ability to break down complex scientific concepts into clear, understandable explanations.
• Creative and lateral thinking to tackle novel and difficult problems.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote work setting.
• Self‑motivated, independent worker with reliable desktop/laptop and internet connection.
