Research Assistant - Qualitative & Quantitative Analysis

About the role

Pure Zameen Foundation is hiring a Research Assistant in Lahore to carry out qualitative and quantitative research on animal welfare, food systems, plant-based nutrition and environmental issues in Pakistan. The role uses local and global data, policies and case studies to produce accurate, actionable outputs, and also turns complex research into clear narratives for awareness campaigns and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research on animal welfare, food systems, plant-based nutrition and environmental issues in Pakistan.
• Design, develop and run surveys, questionnaires and sampling methods to gather representative data.
• Collect, organise and analyse data using statistical and qualitative tools, applying research ethics and keeping data confidential.
• Stay up to date on local and global trends, policies, publications and case studies.
• Prepare research briefs, policy notes, reports and presentations, and turn findings into accessible narratives for stakeholders, policymakers and the public.
• Help build advocacy materials, campaign content and awareness communications.
• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders on research input and consultation, and take part in fieldwork such as surveys and interviews.
• Validate data and findings before they are shared.

Required skills

• Data analysis and visualisation with Microsoft Excel, SPSS and R Statistical Computing.
• Ability to design surveys and questionnaires and to work with field data.
