Research Engineer - Electrical, Mechanical & Chemical (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a PhD‑level Research Engineer to develop and optimise advanced engineering solutions across electrical, mechanical and chemical domains. This contract position is fully remote, allowing you to collaborate with global cross‑functional teams while driving innovation on high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and validate electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems according to project specifications.
• Perform theoretical modelling and experimental validation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Develop and refine algorithms or processes that improve efficiency and scalability of engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and optimisation recommendations for existing systems.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in applied research, system design, or process optimisation within the relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder updates.
