Resident Medical Officer – Obstetrics & Gynecology

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Resident Medical Officer in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department based in Karachi. You will provide direct patient care, support consultants, and contribute to both routine and emergency procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Assist senior consultants during deliveries, surgeries, and emergency interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, record clinical observations, and update medical charts accurately.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• MBBS degree recognized by the relevant medical council and a valid registered medical practitioner certification.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including emergency management.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hospital‑based systems and electronic medical records.
