Emergency Medical Officer

About the role

The Emergency Medical Officer will lead emergency management and ER operations, overseeing programs and complex medical missions across Pakistan. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Islamabad.

Key responsibilities

• Run emergency operations programs and manage ER workflows.
• Coordinate treatment and referrals between hospitals, districts, and inter‑provincial facilities.
• Engage with senior government and development officials on health initiatives.
• Train and mentor junior clinicians, interns, and support staff in emergency care protocols.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution with a valid Pakistan medical license.
• Demonstrated patient‑care skills including triage, clinical assessment, and compassionate communication.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in hospital management, health‑systems leadership, and humanitarian work.
• Strong decision‑making ability under pressure and meticulous documentation practices.
